Bikers Breakfast: A Great Start to the Day!

14th Oct, 26

We were delighted to host our Bikers’ Breakfast, a special event celebrating and encouraging students who cycle to school. It was wonderful to see so many students arrive on two wheels, embracing healthy habits and environmentally friendly travel!

Our cyclists were welcomed with a delicious, healthy breakfast to fuel their morning, including fresh fruit, croissants, cereal and more. It was a lovely opportunity for students and staff to come together, enjoy some refreshments and share a little social time before the school day began.

The Bikers’ Breakfast is about much more than food! It’s part of our wider commitment to promoting active travel, reducing traffic congestion around the school and supporting a greener future. By choosing to cycle, our students are taking positive steps towards improving their health while helping to protect our planet.

A heartfelt JazaakAllahu Khairan to everyone who helped organise the event and to all our enthusiastic cyclists who took part. Your support helped make the morning a wonderful success!

Abubakr Baporia (Enrichment coordinator)

Year 7 Take on the Challenge at Gilwell Park!

13th Oct, 26

On Monday 5th October, our new Year 7 students headed to Gilwell Park for an exciting day of team building, personal challenges and getting to know one another.

The day was packed with opportunities for students to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence and develop essential teamwork skills. They took on the challenge of Jacob’s Ladder, worked together during a range of team-building activities, and experienced the thrilling 3G Swing!

Throughout the day, students were encouraged to support one another, communicate effectively, solve problems and show resilience when faced with new challenges. It was a fantastic opportunity for our new Year 7 cohort to strengthen friendships, build trust and begin creating a strong sense of belonging within their year group.

Well done to all our Year 7 students for getting involved, supporting their peers and embracing the challenges of the day. We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and teamwork!

As your child begins to consider their options for life after Year 11, we would like to share details of a free webinar to help you explore the different pathways available.

T Levels Week 2026: Understanding T Levels – Parent and Carer Webinar

Date: Tuesday 20 October 2026
Time: 6:30pm – 7:15pm
Register here: Register here

T Levels are technical qualifications designed to prepare young people for skilled employment, further study or higher-level apprenticeships. They combine classroom learning with industry placements, giving students the opportunity to develop practical skills and gain valuable experience.

This webinar will help parents and carers understand:

  • What T Levels are and what studying one involves.

  • How T Levels compare with other post-16 options, such as A Levels and apprenticeships.

  • The progression opportunities available after completing a T Level.

The session will feature David Scott, T Levels Lead at the Department for Education, alongside Victoria, a parent who will share her experience and perspective on T Levels.

Even if you are unable to attend live, we encourage you to register, as everyone who registers will receive access to the recording and presentation slides afterwards.

Whether your child is in Year 10 and beginning to explore their future options, or in Year 11 and preparing to make their post-16 choices, this webinar is a useful opportunity to find out more and make informed decisions together.

We encourage all interested parents and carers to take advantage of this free session.

Kind regards,

School Office
