We have arranged for careers guidance advisors to attend our school during the month of November 2024, Inshallah.
As you are aware, Year 11 students are now at a critical juncture coming to the end of their School education and will soon be embarking on Post 16 education. They will need to make informed decisions which could impact their career pathways in the future. For this reason, and to ensure that our pupils make the best choices to their chosen pathways, we would like to offer all pupils this opportunity to explore all possible routes with a qualified careers advisor.
Year 11 students will be given a 30-40-minute slot with an advisor during school time on one of the days to discuss their career prospects. If you would like to attend and join in your child’s session, then please contact me in advance to arrange a suitable time. We will be offering appointment on a first come first basis.
On the 21st of October 2024, our year 10 students had a visit from the Capital City College group. They spoke about some of the different colleges they work with and their locations, the outstanding facilities they provide learners, which famous celebrities studied at their colleges, the links they have with employers across London, different courses available for post 16, T levels and Apprenticeships. They also recommended that the students take the Myer’s-Briggs personality test which may help them recognise what type of personality types they have prior to making post 16 choices.

We are committed to raising the aspirations of our young people and to provide them with STEM & Career opportunities to improve their life chances. We have in the process developed partnerships with a range of institutions, organisations and external agencies. Being a small community school we have cherished the opportunity of working with the public sector and have enjoyed the positive response from them giving our pupils the experiences they fully deserve. We are committed to work in partnership with all our partners and we are sure this is going to be one that continues to build and be a great model for others to follow in the future. Our partnership is built on good trust, mutual understanding and a real commitment to achieving success.
